Terms of Service
Last updated: August 21, 2026
1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Dispute Nerds website, mobile interface, and software (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Dispute Nerds ("Dispute Nerds," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service in any way, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What Dispute Nerds is — and is not
Dispute Nerds provides self-service software and educational tools that help you analyze information appearing on your credit reports, identify possible dispute opportunities, prepare correspondence, and track results. Dispute Nerds is not a credit repair organization, a law firm, or a financial advisor. We do not:
- Act on your behalf or contact credit bureaus, creditors, or debt collectors for you;
- Provide legal representation or legal advice;
- Provide financial advice;
- Guarantee any credit-report change, deletion, or credit-score improvement.
You are responsible for reviewing the information the platform produces, deciding whether to dispute any item, approving any generated correspondence, and determining how and whether to submit it. Information provided through the Service is not legal or financial advice.
3. Your account and your information
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You may only use the Service to analyze credit reports that pertain to you or that you are otherwise legally authorized to access and review.
You represent that any credit report data, documents, or information you upload is yours or that you have the right to upload it. You must not upload another person's credit information without their authorization.
4. Permitted and prohibited conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to make any false, misleading, or fraudulent statement;
- Direct the Service to assert identity theft, lack of ownership, or any other claim you know to be untrue;
- Use the Service to harass, deceive, or defraud any person or entity;
- Attempt to access another user's data, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the Service's operation or security;
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service without our consent.
Dispute Nerds is designed to help you identify only legitimate, supportable dispute opportunities. Using the platform to make statements you know to be false violates these Terms and may violate federal and state law.
5. The Service and AI output
The Service uses artificial intelligence to analyze uploaded credit reports and suggest possible dispute opportunities. AI-generated output may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information, and must be independently reviewed by you before you rely on or submit it. Dispute Nerds does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or outcome of any analysis or suggested correspondence.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time. We may also impose limits on usage, storage, or processing.
6. Fees, subscriptions, and refunds
Some features require a paid subscription. Fees are billed in advance on the recurring basis you select at checkout. Unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase, subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. You authorize us to charge your payment method for recurring fees until you cancel. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation stops future billing but does not refund the current period.
7. Affiliate and partner links
The Service may display links to third-party providers, such as credit reporting or credit-building products. Dispute Nerds may receive compensation when you use certain partner links. Compensation does not determine how products are ranked. Being shown a product is not an offer or a guarantee of approval. We do not control third-party sites and are not responsible for their content, products, or practices.
8. Your content and license to us
You retain ownership of the credit reports and documents you upload ("Your Content"). You grant Dispute Nerds a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service for you. We do not sell Your Content to third parties.
9. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DISPUTE NERDS DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL DISPUTE NERDS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, CREDIT-SPECIFIC OUTCOMES, OR PROFITS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dispute Nerds from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party, including any false statement you direct the Service to make.
13. Term and termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or create risk or legal exposure for us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends; we may delete Your Content after a reasonable period.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms here with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated through the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to that venue.
